JN AA-3406 Associative Thickener

v Features

JN AA-3406 Thickener is a high-performance cost-effective associative thickener. It has a low viscosity and rheological properties of high-quality non-ionic polyacrylamide type products. It imparts high gloss to interior wall waterborne coatings. It is particularly suitable for high-gloss coatings; It can also be applied in different kinds of printing inks and adhesives.
Features:

1. Leveling property and fluidity: low viscosity under low shear rate, enabling good leveling property and fluidity.
2 Formation of coating film: high viscosity under high shear rate, enabling a relatively thick coating film when brush coating is applied.
3 anti-splash and anti-dirt property: the low extensional viscosity reduces splashing and dirt when roll coating is applied.
4. Gloss: imparting superior gloss to the coatings.
5. Stability of coatings and pigments: making the coatings and pigments have good storage stability and have no stratification.
JN AA-3406 is a low viscosity emulsion polymer, and functions best at pH 7.5 - 9.0, which is the normal PH range for common latex paints. JN AA-3406 has very low cost, it is easy to use and gives excellent rheological properties to latex paints.

v Storage

The product should be stored in a sealed container. Avoid freezing and high temperature. It should be used up within six months. Suggested normal storage temperature should be between 10 - 35 °C

Recommendation for application of JN AA-3406 Thickener for best performance:
1) addition of additive AMP-95 in the formulation improves gloss, thickening effect and stability of the coatings.
2) addition of hydrophilic dispersing agent in the formulation improves the stability and gloss of the coatings.
3) addition of film forming agent in the formulation improves the thickening performance. (However the gloss and leveling property might may be affected.)
4) addition of clay filler in the formulation improves the thickening performance.
5) addition of part of the thickener in the slurry improves the grinding and dispersing effects, thereby increasing the gloss of the coatings.
